The Roundtable is exactly that: an opportunity to meet with others interested in Information Literacy, to share experiences and ideas, and to learn from each other. It is not a conference in the traditional sense.
In past years, we’ve managed to discuss 5 or 6 topics
(spending 20-25 minutes per topic). Each topic was introduced by an individual
followed by discussion. There will be a computer, data projector and Smart
Board in the room for those who want it, however, formal presentations aren't
required, and in fact, feedback has indicated we've all enjoyed the
non-conference style presentations. The roundtable session is meant to be a
time for sharing ideas, and we want to leave as much time as possible for
meaningful discussion.
There will be a coffee break (we'll pay for that). We hope to gather after the roundtable for lunch at a nearby restaurant to continue the conversation (you'll pay for that).
